Hand Surgery

Hand and upper extremity surgery involves the evaluation and treatment of a wide array of disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow. The practice of hand surgery incorporates elements of orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery. Some of the more commonly encountered problems include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, tennis elbow, ganglion cysts, tendonitis, and fractures of the hand and wrist. Additionally, a wide variety of traumatic, inflammatory, arthritic, congenital and overuse disorders are diagnosed and treated. Treatment is usually conservative; however, surgery when needed, is performed by our fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeons. Our specialists are well-versed in complex disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow including small joint arthroscopy, limited incision carpal tunnel release and other minimally-invasive techniques.
